Nearly 90% of transport to and from SSAB Borlänge is by rail. Trains run at a maximum of 30 km/h, but large trains may need 130–180 meters to stop. Always look both ways before crossing any tracks.

All rail traffic has priority in the SSAB Borlänge industrial area:

Red flashing light: Stop immediately. Do not cross until the light stops flashing. Orange flashing light: Be alert; trains are moving in the area. Never assume the train driver can see you. Their visibility is limited to about 40 meters.

Maintain a 2.2-meter distance from the tracks at all times, and ensure no equipment or materials are placed closer.

For work within the Safety Zone, authorization from Track Maintenance is required.
